Páll Skúlason

Páll Skúlason studied philosophy at the Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium (doctoral thesis in 1973). He has tought at the University of Iceland since 1971 and was Rector of that  university between 1997-2005.  His main fields of interest are ethics, political philosophy,  metaphysic, and university governance. He is the author of Saga and Philosophy (Reykjavik 1999), Le cercle du Sujet dans la philosophie de Paul Ricoeur (l‘Harmattan 2001), Meditation at the Edge of Askja (Reykjavik 2005), and several books in Icelandic.
